Speech of Enlightened Master JiGong
(Our Merciful Master encourage the local volunteers from Chennai and Pondicherry)
It is not easy to hold a sermon assembly. Therefore you must treasure this chance to assist in the sermon. The locals will have to put in more effort as you are more familiar with the people and the environment. Those volunteers from overseas are just here to help out. I am very happy to know that all of you have put in a lot of time and effort for this sermon.
Keep up your effort. Do not give up in the midst of Tao cultivation for you must have faith in Heaven and me (Master Ji Gong). I will always be around to lead and guide you, to ensure that you have a safe and smooth cultivation path. Master only request your truthful and sincere heart in Tao cultivation.
Can you be truthful to yourself, to other people, to the Heaven and to me? (Yes) You must be truthful and sincere in doing things. Do not habour any false intentions. If you are not truthful to the Heaven, the Heaven would treat you in the same way. If you want to have a bright and fruitful future, you must cultivate diligently and set a good example to lead others.
Tao cultivation is not an easy task and there would be hardships. However, the higher your endurance, the greater would be your success. Do not worry that your hard work will deteriorate your health. The Heaven will take good care of you as long as you are working for the Heaven. I hope that Tao propagation in Pondicherry will have a brighter future. I hope that I come here (manifest in person) again. Hence, I need you to continue propagating Tao in Pondicherry. The future is in your hands and I wish all of you success! Now, get into our roles and play our part well. Do not grumble and do not be afraid of hardships.
(Our Merciful Master encourage the participants of this assembly)
How are the lessons? (Good) Do you understand the lessons delivered by the speakers? (Yes) Can you understand the lesson that she (Speaker Au) had delivered? If none of you answers my question, it would mean she did not do a good job.
(Few participants responded that the lesson was well delivered)
If I have not explained that “silence (no answer) imply that a lesson has not been presented well”, maybe no one would wish to stand up and speak for her (Speaker Au). The mortal world is righteous and has warmth. Hence, people help one another in times of trouble. When you see someone has a problem, you will extend your helping hands.
Look at the volunteers! They lead and deliver the Heaven’s words wholeheartedly. Similarly, you must listen attentively. The volunteers ask nothing from you, they only wish that you could attend this sermon for two days to understand the preciousness of Tao. If not for the holy mission to propagate Tao to all of you, would they want to come to India? This is a foreign land to them and they are not familiar with many things. If you were them, would you want to go to an unfamiliar foreign land? (No) So do you understand their purpose of coming to India now? (They have come to propagate Tao).
What is Tao? Why would they want to spend the money to buy air tickets, apply a few days vacation leave to be here and exhaust their mental efforts to elaborate this Tao in India? Why did they choose to come here (India) and not other places? Besides, India is such a big country. Why did they choose to come here (Pondicherry) and not other states. This is because you have the affinity with them. Hence, the saying “With affinity, enables union across a thousand miles; with no affinity, you do not know even when you meet.”
Do you know the locals in this assembly hall? (No) You do not know all the local people here but yet you know the people from Taiwan and Singapore! There is nothing special about Tao. You do not notice Tao though it resides in your surrounding. But why are there so many people leaving their hometowns to propagate Tao? (Because of the Preciousness of Tao)
Today, Tao propagation is in every country. Thus, I have been to all these countries! This is because my disciples spread this Tao all over the world. They are not afraid of hardships. They go anywhere regardless of the countries’ conditions and state of wealth. They know that sentient beings are Buddhas sleeping in delusions. You can only uncover your True Self by receiving the great Tao and undertake the path of Tao cultivation.
When you are thinking, is it the humane heart or the conscience at work? If it is your conscience, there will be no differentiation between you and me. There will be no arguments over ownership of things. If the True Self is thinking, there will be no favoritism. If you execute the thoughts of the True Self, you are also a Buddha as Buddhas do not differentiate between Himself and others. So, have you attained the state of just, equal, and merciful?
Tao cultivation is not difficult. It is a process to restore your True Self, the merciful root in you. It is a process to realise your True Self that has been shadowed in this mundane world. If you think you have not reached this stage, then there are some imperfections. From this moment onwards, improve yourself gradually until your True Self is polished and its brightness revealed. Everyone has a radiant True Self. The worldly attachments in this colorful world had disturbed this peaceful and pure True Self. Upon knowing the truth, you should strive to reveal the radiance of your True Self.
(Participants invited Master JiGong to his seat politely) You should extend the invitation to your elders and seniors, and not only to me. Wherever you are, at home or in society, you should have good manners. By doing so, you will always be welcomed by everyone at any place. Do you want to be a well-mannered person? (Yes) In this path of Tao cultivation, good mannerism is pivotal. A good mannered person naturally attracts people and this opens the door to sharing the good news of Tao with others. It will also be easier to guide and lead people to the Truth.
In Tao cultivation, apart from manners, there are many other moral values that you need to learn slowly – to be filial to parents, to care for siblings, to love one’s country and to be a loyal warrior. If everyone executes his or her duties, will there still be war in this world? There is disorder in the society now. This is because people choose to act on their own accord even though they understand what should be done and what should not be done.
Everyone knows the principles of Tao but many fail to execute them. This is sentient beings nature and is their flaw. The Buddhas, Saints and Sages understand this weakness and hence they relentless undertake the salvation of sentient beings to guide them via religions and inscriptions.
Wish you the best in your future endeavors (including the path of Tao cultivation); you should exude confidence till the end. Leaving task uncompleted will put all your hardships and endurance to waste. Thus, prosecute all undertakings to the end. There is no replay in life. Once the event is over, there will be no reversal. From now on, exude self-confidence and treasure opportunities in your life. Complete your life meaningfully.
Does everyone have sweets in your hands? (Yes) We shall taste them together. These volunteers have brought these sweets especially for you. After eating, I hope that the sweets will render happiness in your heart, and also the joy to complete this path of Tao cultivation. Since I am here, let me try the sweets (of mundane world). When I was alive, I did not have the opportunity to try them but I have a chance now. Since I cannot bring the sweets along with me, let me try some to find out why mankind likes to indulge in good food (Master tasted a chocolate). It tastes sweet! No wonder all of you indulge in them and have no wish to return Home.
Although the food in this mundane world is delicious, do not be overly greedy. The delicacies of food and the variegated wonderful scenes are tempting, but having tried or tasted before is good enough. Do not stay in this mundane world and forget to return Home (Holy Heaven). Everyone has to leave this world one day, it is a matter of time. Hence, come and leave this mundane world naturally and gracefully.
After tasting these sweets, you should feel the true efforts and boundless love of the volunteers. Convey these feelings and thoughts to your family, friends and the people around you.
I will leave my gourd and confidence (in oracle) with you. They will accompany you and facilitate your continual improvement in Tao cultivation and propagation. In future, I hope you can bring people with affinity to unite with me and realize this Teacher and Disciple bond. I would then have another chance to descend and manifest in person to meet all of you in Pondicherry. Do not forget me, Master Ji Gong, and I will definitely not forget you, my dear disciples. Shall we look forward to the next assembly? (Yes) I sincerely wish you a peaceful life, and a smooth Tao cultivation. Farewell, and may we meet again.
Sermon Highlights
Sincerity – the fundamental element in Tao cultivation – founded the first Holy Sermon Assembly in Bliss Inn, Pondicherry on 21st and 22nd December 2002. Participants from various parts of India - Pondicherry, Chennai and even Sri Lanka - and the volunteers from India, Taiwan and Singapore executed their mission to make the sermon assembly a success.
Throughout the 2-day sermon assembly, the participants, the volunteers and the speakers contributed wholeheartedly. On the second day, at about 3pm, our sincerity touched our beloved Master JiGong who manifested in person. This was Master JiGong’s first blessings in the land of Pondicherry.
As an encouragement to the group of volunteers from India, Master revealed his happiness in the volunteers’ efforts to bring people to attend sermon assembly. Master also advised the locals to strive in Tao propagation in India. As a gift to all the disciples, our Master composed an oracle with the picture of a gourd, with its mouth uncapped. This depicts that our Master has opened the heavenly door for us, revealing the path to enlightenment. Within the gourd is the word “CONFIDENCE” - a requisite quality in Tao cultivation.
Tasting some chocolate together with the class, Master JiGong cautioned all disciples on the indulgence in delicacies and the myriad scenes in this mortal world. He reminded once again that we should not forget the path to return to Holy Heaven.
Our benevolent Master’s mission is to salvage all sentient beings. In the 3-hour gathering filled with deepened affinity, faith, and confidence, Master hopes that the locals will encourage more people to acquire Tao and make the next sermon assembly possible. He looked forward to descending in Pondicherry again to meet all of us. Indeed, we are the fortunate and blessed ones.
